Accessing unix box through putty

Hi folks,

Want to access unix machine through your laptop windows/other os machine?

Then here below are the tips to do that.

1. Your both machines should be there in network.
2. Enable/Install Openssh in the Unix box.
3.  /etc/init.d/sshd status
   Checking for service sshd                                            running
   if not make sure that it's running
4. /etc/init.d/sshd start
5. Disable the firewall on Unix m/c.
6. Then start accessing this m/c through putty; you can be access for sure.
